the equation. We believe in the power of visual learning, which is why we created RapidWeaver Classroom and its video training library. FAQ

Select a question below to view its answer.

What software do I need to view the video tutorials?

You need a web browser with Javascript enabled and the Flash Player plugin. The videos are produced in the H.264 format and use Flash video player. Safari and Firefox are the preferred browsers.

Can I download the videos and save them on my computer?

No. Your subscription provides you access to view the video tutorials, but not to download and archive the content. RapidWeaver Classroom exclusively owns the rights to the videos, and this is outlined in the Terms of Use agreement that you accept when subscribing. Users who attempt to download and save the video files will have their subscription cancelled without the option to re-subscribe. This is standard practice among online video training libraries.

Is a PayPal account required for subscription?

The 30-day subscription option does require that you have a PayPal account, or that you create one during the registration process. The reason for this is that the 30-day subscription option uses an automatic renewal system, and so PayPal must have your information on file to charge for renewals. RapidWeaver Classroom uses PayPal for payment processing and renewals because it is the most secure method for handling your financial information. If you would like to subscribe to the 30-day option but do not want to create a PayPal account, please contact us for alternative payment options.

The 6-month and 1-year subscription options are not on an automatic renewal system and do not require a PayPal account for registration. A basic credit card transaction is all that is needed to subscribe to the 6-month and 1-year options.

Why is my payment sent to Websmith LLC?

The merchant account is set up through my company name, Websmith LLC, so this is what you will see on a credit card statement or other billing statement.

How long does my subscription last?

Your subscription gives you 30-day access to the library of video tutorials. The subscription is recurring, meaning that it will automatically renew at the end of the 30-day period unless you cancel. The renewal will extend your subscription another 30 days and continue to do so until you cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Log-in to RapidWeaver Classroom and click on the Membership Information link. If asked to login again then do so. You will be presented with your membership information, and then you need to click on the Payment History tab, where you will find a link to cancel your subscription. Clicking on the Cancel link will direct you to PayPal, where you will need to confirm the cancellation to complete the process. You should receive a confirmation email verifying the cancellation. If you do not receive this email then go through the process again to ensure that you complete all the required steps.

I cancelled my subscription after it renewed but didn't receive a refund.

IMPORTANT
In order to receive a refund after renewal, you need to cancel within 3 days of the renewal AND contact me directly to request your refund. Canceling through the Membership Information page will NOT automatically generate a refund.

If I cancel my subscription with 5 days remaining do I lose those last 5 days?

No, your subscription will remain active until the date of expiration at the conclusion of your 30-day subscription period.

You can actually cancel your subscription the day after you first subscribe and your subscription will remain active for the full 30 days. Canceling your subscription does not disable your access to the tutorials, it simply prevents your subscription from recurring at the end of the 30-day period.

What if I don't want to renew but forget to cancel my subscription?

You have up to 3 days following your subscription renewal to cancel, but after that 3-day period your subscription is renewed for the remainder of the new 30-day period. For example, if your subscription renews on June 1st and you cancel on June 3rd, you will receive a refund for that 30-day period and your subscription will be cancelled and access to the tutorials removed. However, if you do not cancel until June 4th then a refund will not be available and your new 30-day subscription will remain active. At that point you will need to cancel through the Membership Information page to prevent your subscription from renewing again at the end of the new 30-day period.

IMPORTANT
In order to receive a refund after renewal, you need to qualify (as noted above) AND contact me directly to request the cancellation and refund. Canceling through the Membership Information page will NOT automatically generate a refund.

Can I cancel half-way through my 30-day period and receive a partial refund?

No, refunds are only available for those who have cancelled a subscription renewal in the first 3 days following the renewal.

I can't view the videos. What should I do?

If you are having trouble viewing the videos then try the following steps in order:
  1. Try using a different web browser. If you are using Safari, try viewing the videos in Firefox, or vice versa. This solves 99% of issues with video playback.
  2. Clear your browser cache. In Safari, go to Safari in the menu and select Empty Cache. In Firefox, go to Tools > Clear Private Data > select the Cache option and click OK. Restart the browser and try to view the videos again.
  3. Ensure that your browser is set to accept Javascript and that plugins are enabled. In Safari, go to Safari in the menu and select Preferences. Under the Security tab, make sure that Javascript and plug-ins are enabled. In Firefox, choose Preferences from the Firefox menu, and select Javascript from the Content tab. Restart the browser and try again.
  4. Reboot your computer.
  5. If you have access to another computer, log-in to RapidWeaver Classroom from that computer and try to view the video tutorials. If you are able to successfully view them then that verifies the issue is with your computer and that the website is operating correctly.
  6. Still having trouble? Contact us.

Can I view the tutorials on my iPad?

RapidWeaver Classroom Grad School screencasts are compatible with the iPad and should be able to play correctly. However, the RapidWeaver Classroom website is not optimized for mobile devices at this time, so iPad support is not yet official.
